I enjoy being a scientific creator. The goal of scientific research is to formulate hypotheses and design experiments that will test each aspect of the hypothesis. Detailed work is needed to look into these questions as well as a broad mind to consider other factors influencing your area of research. What other molecular pathways intertwine with the one you study? What is the overarching application of your results?
This thought process goes into each creative project I do. There is a systematic approach to each creation, an accurate documenting of images and scenes, while allowing the art to evolve by itself.
The beauty of science: While science is known for its rigor and control of variables, there is also the mysterious evolution of the process that keeps people asking questions. It is this evolution that will always prompt new questions and the search for new answers.
Leigh currently works as a Research Associate at a leading pediatric research institute and has interests in video editing, graphic design, creating scientific/medical animations, and writing.
